Alana Hughes Memorial Scholarship

Alana Hughes served for more than 20 years as a TCC Foundation Trustee. She was also recognized as an honoree at the 2022 Vision Dinner for her work and dedication to TCC. Alana was a long-time philanthropic champion in Tulsa through her work as the Director of Tulsa Grantmaking for Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies where she retired in 2022 after working there for 24 years.

The Alana Hughes Memorial Scholarship will provide two $1,200 scholarships distributed through $600 payments for the Fall and Spring semesters for incoming Freshman students who live outside Tulsa County and are not eligible for Tulsa Achieves. The scholarship would be open to any student with any major who lives outside Tulsa County and are a permanent resident with a financial need. It is designed for a graduating high school student to enter TCC the Fall immediately after graduation from high school. Financial need would be demonstrated within an essay submitted during the application process and based off data provided in the FAFSA.
